Web Conferencing Solution Company Given 'Influencer and Contender' Title

Wainhouse Research has named RHUB Communications as Influencer and Contender in its 2009 Rich Media Conferencing: Audio and Web Conferencing Infrastructure Products report. RHUB is probably best known for its 4-in-1 remote support and video conferencing hardware. Offering a unique solution, the company has been engaged in delivering internet teleconferencing since 2005.

This is not the first such recognition for the company. Other awards won include:

2008 Emerging Tech Vendor from CRN
Communications Solutions Product of the Year 2008
Customer Trust Award in the Info Security Products Guide 2008

Like other web conferencing solutions companies RHUB has responded to the demand for genuine communications solutions that are not only user friendly but also affordable. The industry has benefited greatly from companies looking to cut costs. No wonder Wainhouse expects to see this segment of the industry in 2014 to grow to $3.2 billion.

Virtual Communication like Never Before

The growth of the internet has given rise to many previously unheard of concepts in the industry. One of these is the virtual workspace. Many entities, from call centers to web conference vendors, have been shaping the public and corporate perceptions of this fast growing business tool.

The recognition of RHUBs achievements by Wainhouse also reflects the willingness of more companies to embrace the model of working virtually. Not only do geographical boundaries no longer limit a companys flexibility, but even the idea of routine working hours have to be examined.

Some companies may hire call centers to provide after sales customer support. Some global conferencing allow support to be provided to up to 10 participants in a single session. This may be a more cost effective solution than outsourcing to a call center. Additionally, the company remains firmly in control eliminating the risk of the call center failing due to lack of technical knowledge or some other issue.

Likely more companies will set out on the virtual path in the next few years. If they are not already enticed by features such as remote web access and support, and webcast software with streaming video and audio, the idea of saving enormous sums on travel expenses might do the trick. The Wainhouse report went on to note factors which have forced businesses to take a hard look at what is simply one of the most viable communications tools available on the market today.

5.0 out of 5 stars It saved my camera, December 22, 2009

I recently purchased a Canon S90 to complement my 5DmkII on a safari in Tanzania. Throughout the trip I had the S90 on my belt for quick and easy access; the case isn't bulky and seemed to protect the camera well enough from the occasional knock as the land cruiser hit big bumps.

On my last day in Tanzania I was walking through the streets of Arusha when suddenly I felt a hard tug that almost spun me around. I turned to see a man starting to flee. I started off in pursuit--concerned more about the memory card than the camera itself--but after a few steps realized the camera was still at my side, only a slight rip in the strap indicating anything had happened.

Recommended as a sturdy carrying case with a reasonable amount of padding for impact protection (you won't want to drop it from very high or expose it to strong blows).

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice snug fit for Canon S90, October 14, 2009
I tried several cases for my new Canon S90 and this case had the best snug fit for the S90 without being too snug. It will provide a modest level of protection for the camera without adding unnecessary bulk. The outer pocket will hold an extra battery and/or memory card.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice generic, cheap case for the S90, January 14, 2010

This case happens to be a good fit for the Canon S90. If you're hiking or are on vacation, it'll get you that crucial amount of padding plus room for 1 or 2 spare batteries and SD card. I particularly like the fact that the belt loop is fixed (not a clip), so once you put it on, you can be confident that it stays on, no matter which woods you're cutting your way through. Use a wider belt if you have one, the case wiggles a little with slim belts.

If you're out in Metropolis though, the "outdoor factor" may be just a tad over the edge. You can remove the metal hook and cut off the bright label with sharp scissors, but it'll still look a bit too dorky for, say, the opera or sushi gathering. For such occasions, you'll do better with Canon's PSC900 Deluxe Leather Case.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good case for a 'Super-Zoom'., May 1, 2010

I have a closet full of camera cases and bags, but all of them are either too small or larger than I needed for my Panasonic DMC-FZ35 Super-Zoom. After checking out all the available cases at my local chain electronics store, the Case Logic DCB-304 is about as close to perfect as I could find. The camera fits well, with room to spare. It has storage for extra batteries, memory cards, or any small accessories. It's lightweight, well padded, and offers moderate protection. A nice case for 'Super-Zooms', that is priced right.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well made, nice looking camera case, June 19, 2010

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program ( What's this?)
This is a well made case and looks great. Material is strong but not too rough. Two side pockets each with a little net pouch inside. The net pouches alone hold 5 AAs each. Inside the main flap is a small zippered pocket. Inside the main compartment is a little divider connected via elastic bans. It comes with a shoulder strap and a belt loop.

It is a very handsome case, black with nice lines and a touch of red here and there. Inside is gray (or silver) making it nice and light to see what's in there.

The problem is the Amazon (sold by Adorama) description does not give you a clear idea what camera this is for. It is too small for a DSLR (like a D300s or even a D50) yet quite large for your basic point and shoot. Other info I have says it " Fits Canon PowerShot SX20 IS, Nikon Coolpix P100, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 and similarly sized cameras." My old Olympus 2500 fits quite well. If you have one of those this will be a great bag at a nice price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, August 25, 2010
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Chums Waterproof Camera Float (Camera)
Purchased for use with my new Fujipix 12MP Water Camera - no problem keeping it where I could see it in the water. Camera is submerged but float is large enough and bright enough to spot. I think it is much more attractive than those big multi creased floats. Also has a quick clip so you can easily remove the float when not on the water.

1.0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware, June 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Chums Waterproof Camera Float (Camera)
I bought this strap for a Kodak waterproof video camera. Although this seemed to be well constructed, it failed when I used it for my snorkel trip to Hawaii. The cord that connected the float to the camera broke. If it weren't for a miracle of a nice young man who dove down at least 20 feet to retrieve the camera I would have lost some of the best videos I have ever shot of dolphins and manta rays. Don't buy this cord. I also have an Olympus cord for my still camera and it has held up much better than this cord that I only used for one trip.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid wrist strap, January 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Chums Waterproof Camera Float (Camera)
Bought this for a cruise to use with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2, which Amazon tells me weighs 5.9 oz. It was easy to connect (and disconnect with a quick release), floated to the top of the water quickly, held up well and was easy to see from a ways away. It is much better looking than some of the life vest looking ones on Amazon. Great product that did exactly what it was supposed to.
